Institutional pathway filled with light

Understand. Assess. Design. Deliver. Sustain.

A discreet, structured method grounded in political and institutional context not a generic consulting playbook.

15+Years of international experience
The method

From context to advice the institution can own.

AfriCore works with a signature method: the AfriCore Strategic Advisory Framework. We separate what we advise on governance, peace and security, political risk, programme strategy from how we work with a client. Every engagement follows the same five movements, adapted to sensitivity and mandate.

  • Understand

We start from your objectives, constraints, and the political, institutional, economic, and operational setting in which decisions will be taken.

  • Assess

We test risks, interests, and options against evidence so recommendations rest on what the situation actually allows.

  • Design

With the client, we design strategies and implementation frames fitted to mandate, sensitivity, and institutional capacity.

  • Deliver

Advisory, facilitation, and coordination that move from paper into the practice of the institution.

  • Sustain

Knowledge transfer and capacity so the work does not leave when the advisers do.

Who delivers the work

How an engagement is run.

Non-executive stewardship sets direction. The Director of Operations manages the assignment. The Global Expert Network is mobilised according to the mandate.

  • Founder & Non-Executive Director

Provides strategic direction, institutional stewardship and senior advisory insight, while remaining independent from AfriCore’s day-to-day operational management.

  • Director of Operations

Leads AfriCore’s day-to-day management and operational delivery, including client engagement, contracting, assignment coordination and organisational administration.

  • Global Expert Network

Connects AfriCore to a carefully selected network of practitioners, academics, former senior officials, international experts and sector specialists who are mobilised selectively according to the requirements of specific assignments and initiatives.

Engagement model

Support fitted to the assignment.

Modalities follow the objective, sensitivity, and operating reality of each client from discreet counsel to hands-on coordination. Assignments are managed by the Director of Operations and delivered through the Global Expert Network, mobilised for the mandate.

  • Strategic advisory

Independent counsel to senior decision-makers on policy, institutional, and political choices.

  • Political and risk analysis

Context intelligence, scenario thinking, and risk assessments that inform strategy and investment.

  • Mediation and facilitation

Discreet support to sensitive political processes, dialogue, and coordination among parties.

  • Strategic support and coordination

Accompaniment for programme delivery, institutional reform, and partner coordination.

Quality assurance

How we protect the standard of our work.

Every assignment moves through a quality pipeline so that advice is accurate, relevant, practical, independent, timely, and professional.

  • Assignment scoping

We clarify objectives, constraints, sensitivities, and what success would look like.

  • Technical oversight

Work is guided by senior expertise matched to the political and institutional context, mobilised for the assignment rather than drawn from a standing bench.

  • Internal peer review

Analysis and recommendations are tested before they reach the client.

  • Quality validation

Deliverables are checked for accuracy, relevance, practicality, and professional standard.

  • Learning

We capture lessons so the next engagement is sharper than the last.

Confidential dialogue among institutional leaders
A conversation at the right level
